Unfortunately, it's no longer enough these days to simply lock your valuable 35mm copies in a room as we used to do. Servers and other hardware must be protected not only physically but also digitally from attacks and theft.
That's why in the digital age, we place the highest value on data protection, security, integrity, and discretion and have implemented our own standards at all levels. So you can be sure that we will not disappoint the trust that is placed in us by you and the industry.
IT-Fort Knox
Our festival content network and IT infrastructure is always state-of-the-art, highly secured, and protected from the internet with a modern firewall. All festival-related data and information that we use are stored exclusively where we have full control over them.
The more critical the stored information, the more conservative our security concept. The storage where the films are located can't be accessed from the internet at all.
Our services are designed to comply with GDPR and IT-Compliance.

Encryption during Transfer
Our Fast-File-Transfer service encrypts all data during transmission, the endpoint of which is our own physical hardware in our server room in Leipzig. This ensures that all data is exclusively with us and not on cloud platforms, foreign servers, etc. as is the case with other (Cloud) storage providers.

Double copies create redundancy
Critical data should never be stored in just one place. To be optimally protected from the worst-case scenario, we regularly create data mirror images on hardware that is stored outside our server room. Our internet connection is also redundant so that you always have access to our services.
