Film Scans

With our Blackmagic Cintel 2K scanner, we scan your films in RAW and convert them directly to DCP on request. The dust is first removed with PTR rollers to protect the film as much as possible and then scanned directly from the film core at a variable frame rate with a low draw.

Even if you have planned an analog screening, it makes perfect sense to scan your screening copy in advance and convert it into a DCP: If a problem arises with the analog projection on the day of the screening, you can relax and fall back on the DCP as an alternative source.

During the scan, we take care to adjust the printer lights precisely to achieve a result that matches the film print as closely as possible. Thanks to our DCI-compliant and well-calibrated test cinema in Studio Leipzig, live color grading is possible directly after the scan in our own cinema auditorium. Finally, a quality control screening of the finished DCP can be carried out directly on site.
